The logo is adapted to celebrate national events such as Gay Pride Day,
Women's History Month, Black History Month by varying the color of the "cares" word.
To celebrate the first year of the "cares" brand across the agency, a Cares Challenge Coin was designed.
It was distributed to all employees and is presented at special events outside of the agency.
Also distributed for the first anniversary of "cares" was a tote bag containing
a customized towel, pen, poster, and letter from the Chief Medical Examiner.
